Gretchen Priest and Plaidgrass

It's finally here.


PLAIDGRASS' first CD is ready for release. The album features selections from Celtic, Bluegrass and Traditional genres, including: Waiting for the Federals / Elzic's Farewell / Rakish Paddy; The Winds of Capri (written by Tim May); Brumley Brae; Cheyenne; The Star of Munster / Earl's Chair / Julia Delaney / Maid Behind the Bar; Star of the County Down; Rock-a-bye Baby; Bonaparte Crossing the Rhine; Bluegrass in the Backwoods; Elk River Blues.


Produced by Tim May and Doc Holladay, who also played bass on the project, the album is full of entertaining arrangements and incredible musicianship. Joining Gretchen, Tim, Doc, Tom and Al are Chris Joslin on Bluegrass banjo, Chris Fontaine on bohdran, and Jeff Taylor on accordion.

Goin' Across the Sea

We have every confidence that you will enjoy the recent release by Plaidgrass stalwarts Tim May and Al Goll, joined by bassist Charlie Chadwick, on Goin' Across the Sea. It's a great mix of Irish, Scottish, and Early American music billed as Yankee-Celtic; many of the songs are popular in traditional acoustic circles across the country.
